Offence Types
To manage offences across games, PlaySafe ID categorises offences into a number of types. These types fall under two broad themes that PlaySafe enforces - Cheating & Child Protection. Descriptions of these types are detailed in the sections below.
When notifying PlaySafe ID of offences that have occurred, we ask that you use the descriptions below to guide your classification. If the offence does not fall under one of these types, it should not be sent.
Cheating Offences
Offence Type | Description |
---|---|
Cheating - Software | Use of unauthorised software to alter game behaviour or provide advantages. This includes aimbots, wallhacks, triggerbots, auto-loot systems, or any third-party executable that manipulates client-side or server-side gameplay. |
Cheating - Botting | Use of automated scripts or bots to play the game without human input. This includes auto-farming, auto-looting, pathing bots for XP or resource gain, or any repetitive gameplay behaviour executed by non-human systems to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt gameplay balance. |
Cheating - Hardware | Use of physical devices or peripherals to gain unfair gameplay advantages. This includes hardware-based recoil eliminators, turbo controllers, rapid-fire mods, or input manipulation tools that are external to the game software. |
Cheating - DMA (Direct Memory Access) | Use of external hardware or software that reads or writes directly to game memory through DMA, bypassing traditional anti-cheat detection. Common in high-tier cheating setups, especially for reading player positions and triggering automated actions. |
Cheating - Other | Any other form of gameplay manipulation not covered above that undermines competitive fairness or game integrity. This may include account automation, macro abuse beyond developer-approved limits, or exploits that involve intentional manipulation of unintended game behaviour. |
Child Protection Offences
Offence Type | Description |
---|---|
Child - CSEA (Child Sexual Exploitation Abuse) | Engaging in or facilitating the exploitation of children for sexual purposes, including coercion, extortion, or transactional abuse in exchange for in-game or real-world rewards. This includes getting children to be sexual, or talking to children in a sexual way. |
Child - CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) | Sharing, uploading, linking to, or distributing any content that contains or depicts the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors. This is a criminal offence and will be met with an immediate permanent ban. |
Child - Grooming | Any behaviour intended to build emotional trust with a minor for the purpose of sexual interaction, including inappropriate messaging, flattery, or attempts to move conversations to private, unmonitored platforms. |
Child - Other | Any other inappropriate or predatory conduct directed toward minors that does not fall under the above categories. This includes persistent boundary-pushing behaviour, suggestive roleplay, or creating avatars/usernames that target or sexualise minors. |
